Searching for jobs

The ‘Search for Jobs’ facility on the left enables you to search from tens of thousands of live vacancies on the Hays database. In order to find the jobs most relevant to you, simply follow our seven-step guide:

 

Step one: Select the type of job you are looking for.

 

Step two: Select your area of expertise.

 

Step three: Select your preferred sector.

 

Step four: Enter any keywords relating to the job, such as job title or skills.

 

Step five: Enter the town, city or region you are looking to work in, and its surrounding area.

 

Step six: Specify your preferred salary range.

 

Step seven: Click ‘SEARCH’ to retrieve your results.

 

Alternatively: Every job on our system has an individual reference number. Simply enter it here and click ‘GO’.

Using the map

Hays.com represents a new dimension for jobseekers - it is the first UK recruitment website to show tens of thousands of jobs across the UK on a map. The map is very simple to use.

 

Your mouse wheel can zoom in by rolling forward or zoom out by rolling back.

 

You can also ‘click and drag’ the map allowing you to look at jobs in any direction.

 

By hovering over the job numbers, a pop-up box will enable you to view these jobs as a shortlist and carry on with your job application.

Searching for staff

Finding suitable candidates for your position couldn’t be easier. Simply follow our five-step guide to searching the Hays database.

Step one: Select the industry or profession relevant to the position.

 

Step two: Enter any keywords relating to the candidate, such as qualifications or experience.

 

Step three: Select the location of the job.

 

Step four: Select the salary range you are offering.

 

Step five: Click ‘SEARCH’ to bring back a list of available candidates.
